As a “home away from home”, our EMPOWER team serves as an advocate, support and resource for program participants and their families. Our fully-trained and dedicated team members engage participants in life-changing skill building activities that enhance overall wellness and independence. We create an interactive environment by taking participants on field trips, providing volunteer opportunities and other social and recreational community interactions. Our well-rounded program also promotes health and wellness through fun exercises, movement and nutrition education.
Our EMPOWER Adult Wellness and Recreation program is available to adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities at the following locations in North Carolina: Ahoskie, Elizabeth City, Morehead City, New Bern and Wilmington. The program is available Monday through Friday.
