Easterseals UCP, is a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia. We are seeking a Family Support Partner that uses life experience of raising a child with behavioral health needs to engage and empower families and to work with families to solve problems, navigate the services system, connect with natural supports and advocate for themselves.
What You’ll Do:
Provide direct support to families, assisting them in understanding and navigating various social services and resources available in the community. Act as a liaison between families, social service agencies, and the organization. Advocate for families’ needs and rights in various settings, including meetings and planning sessions. Collaborate with the team to develop and implement individualized service plans that reflect the needs and goals of the families. Provide peer support to families, sharing personal experiences and recovery strategies when appropriate. Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge. Maintain comprehensive, timely, and accurate documentation of services provided.
How You’ll Benefit:
You’ll earn a competitive salary of $37,440-$42,931 based on your experience and join a growing team making a difference in our community. M-F (sometimes weekends if on-call) 40 hours per week. In addition, we offer benefits to those regularly working 30 hours or more per week, as well as paid training and professional development.

What We’re Looking For:
To join our team, you must have experience in Family Support Services or a related field. Strong knowledge of community resources and social service systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Demonstrated commitment to advocating for families’ needs and rights. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex systems. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a peer support role. Lived experience as a caregiver of a child or youth with mental health needs
· Experience in navigating any of the child and family-serving systems
· Direct experience with High Fidelity Wraparound preferred
· Must have reliable transportation and a valid unrestricted, state-appropriate driver’s license and ability to be insured by Easterseals UCP’s insurance carrier.
