Job Location: New Bern, Wilmington, Greenville, Kill Devil Hills
Position Summary: The Program Technician is responsible for assisting the ICS programs in their respective region with administrative and technical support functions. The incumbent will assist DSPs with navigating the Electronic Health Record system and troubleshooting.
Essential Job Functions:
- Adjusts schedules for all DSPs of the assigned programs into the electronic health record to ensure accuracy of utilization and authorizations.
- Supports ICS Supervisors with clinical data uploads and additional supporting tasks.
- Supports Direct Support Providers with EHR access, password reset, navigating Welligent Express (mobile app), email access, multifactor authenticator set up, general compliance, etc.
- Facilitates efficient business operations including scheduling, communicating with staff, faxing, scanning, etc.
- Complies with all corporate policies and procedures, HIPAA guidelines, DBHDS rules Medicaid/Medicare federal guidelines.
- Provides support to clinical staff including filing, communicating via phone, scheduling, and other duties as needed.
- Follows all Easterseals UCP Policies and Procedures.
- Must demonstrate Easterseals UCP valued behaviors of Accountability, Commitment, and Caring as appropriate to the position.
- Completes required training within prescribed timeframes.
- Performs related duties as requested or assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred AAS degree in Business Administration or related field.
· Preferred at least two years of experience with Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and Community
Service Board (CSB)/Managed Care Organization (MCO) billing.
· Proficient in interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
· Customer Service oriented team player.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
· Ability to multi-task, assign priority, and complete assigned tasks promptly.

Essential Technology Requirements:
· Must have a working knowledge of electronic systems, including, but not limited to, web browsers, smartphones, mobile apps, web browsing, electronic attendance, Microsoft, and other systems as required.
· Must understand and utilize electronic device (i.e. iPhone, Android, Tablet, or iPad) that is compatible with the current version of application stores per device.
· Must have the working knowledge to train and provide essential support and troubleshooting with Direct Support Professionals and other program employees.
Essential physical requirements:
· Must possess the visual acuity to develop written correspondence and determine the assigned work’s accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness.
· Must be able to perform the basic life operational functions of talking, hearing, sitting for long periods, and performing repetitive motions, such as using a computer.
· Must be able to speak audibly, write legibly and perform repetitive motions such as typing.
Environment: Typical, climate-controlled office environment, shared office space; little travel required.
