Peer Support Specialist

Easterseals UCP is a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia. We are seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Peer Support Specialist to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary, Tailored Care Management team (TCM) designed to provide whole-person, integrated health care.

What You’ll Do 

Easterseals’ Tailored Care Management provides whole-person, integrated health care through evaluation, assessment, care planning, coordinating, tracking, and monitoring outcomes of individuals served. The PSS focuses on mentoring, guiding, and assisting individuals in establishing goals for recovery, learning, and practicing new life skills. Being able to provide constant monitoring of progress and continued encouragement will be an integral aspect of success.

How You’ll Benefit  

You’ll earn a competitive salary based on your experience between  annually, plus enjoy a flexible, work from home and in the community position, Monday through Friday, full-time, mostly during business hours with flexibility to provide early evening coverage as needed for client availability, with local travel with-in Sampson county. We also offer benefits to those regularly working 30 hours or more per week.

What We’re Looking For

To join our team, you must be willing to provide services in various community locations as needed, rotate after hours support coverage, knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Electronic Health Records software, have a passion for helping others, and able to link clients to community resources. We also require the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred
  • Able to be credentialed as a Mental Health Qualified Professional
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with the mental health and/or substance use disorder population
  • A valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and a good driving record
