WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Accompany individuals to job interviews and assist in filling out applications and communicating qualifications.
- Accompany individuals being supported to their community-based employment site to provide on-the-job training.
- Analyze job duties and tasks and complete a thorough job task analysis.
- Assists individuals in mastering skills and meeting production standards. A job coach may be required to assist in performing an individual’s job duties to maintain necessary production as well as model work behavior.
- Facilitates social interaction with coworkers and provide reinforcement as learning is demonstrated.
YOU’RE A GREAT MATCH FOR OUR TEAM:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years’ experience working with adults with disabilities preferred.
- Strong listening and mentoring skills
- Strong time management skills and attention to deadlines
- Ability to identify strengths in others
- Enjoy working as a member of a team as well as independently
- Can do attitude in collaborative groups and with those on your caseload
- Personal and/or professional experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
