Our EMPOWER After-School Recreation program has immediate need for a (DSP)Direct Service Provider to work ongoing Part-Time Schedule (Mon-Fri 1:30pm to 5:30pm) and 2-Saturdays a month. Our Full-Day Summer Camp runs JUNE-AUG (M-F 9am-5pm) which also includes Teacher Work Days & School Holidays. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and able to drive/operate our 15 passenger Van. What You’ll Do:
Under the supervision of the Recreation & Wellness Supervisor, you will provide support to kids (K-8) enrolled in our After School Recreation program.
- Responsible for supporting individuals at learning and increasing skills in all areas of independence including, self-help skills, independent living skills, accessing community resources, and pursuit of leisure activities.
- Participate in all program activities while ensuring safety, health, hygiene, and nutritional needs are met. Lift and transfer individuals as needed.
When Fulfilling the Role of Vehicle Driver:
- This position will have additional responsibilities as Vehicle Driver of 15 passenger Van.
- Responsible for transporting children from School to our EMPOWER location Mon-Fri.
- During Summer Camp, will transport program members and staff on scheduled fieldtrips within the area.
- Maintain a current list of individuals who are being transported on Transportation Log and document attendance when individuals’ board and exit the vehicle ensuring no person supported is ever left alone or unattended in the vehicle.

What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED and (21+) to drive/operate passenger van.
- One year of college or equivalent preferred.
- Two years of experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities preferred
- Must have a valid, unrestricted, state-appropriate driver’s license and maintain current vehicle insurance.
